Description
The Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Urawa, runs onsite training for Japanese-language teachers working outside Japan. The Japan Foundation of Los Angeles highlights three 2027 programs: Basic Training combines language study, foundational teaching methods, and knowledge of Japan; the Japanese Language Program focuses on language skills and knowledge of Japan without teaching-methodology lessons; and the Japanese Teaching Methods Program focuses on methodology and knowledge of Japan without language-skills lessons.
The 2027 program outline also describes two programs for teachers at overseas organizations educating people coming to Japan on Specified Skilled Worker or Employment for Skill Development visas. One focuses on teaching methods; the other focuses on Japanese-language skills. All five programs take place at the Institute in Saitama City, Japan.
