Funding Amounts: Up to $10,000 (2-year) or $15,000 (2-year, with emerging scholar) | Up to $40,000 (3-year) or $45,000 (3-year, with emerging scholar) | $5,000 incentive for eligible emerging scholars

Description
The University of Calgary Teaching and Learning Grants program funds projects that enhance student learning experiences by integrating teaching, learning, and research. The program aims to foster innovation in educational practices, develop educational leadership, and support scholarly research on teaching and learning. Grants support a wide range of initiatives, including the creation or redesign of courses and programs, the development of open educational resources, professional learning, and the advancement of equity, inclusion, Indigenous knowledge, sustainability, mental health, and more. Projects are expected to benefit both immediate participants and the broader university and scholarly community through sharing and dissemination of outcomes.
Three streams are available:
- Development and Innovation: For projects developing or innovating academic courses or programs.
- Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL): For research projects focused on student learning and teaching practice.
- Educational Leadership: For initiatives that build leadership capacity and promote professional learning across the institution.
