The University of Calgary Teaching and Learning Grants program funds projects that enhance student learning through the integration of teaching, learning, and research. The program encourages faculty and staff to engage in the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) and to build educational leadership capacity. Grants are awarded for two- or three-year projects that develop, implement, critically examine, and disseminate innovative, evidence-based approaches to student learning.
Applicants can propose projects in diverse focus areas, including but not limited to: equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility; Indigenous ways of knowing; mental health; sustainability; entrepreneurial thinking; transdisciplinary and experiential learning; course and program innovation; graduate student mentorship; online and blended learning; academic integrity; professional learning; and open educational resources (OER).
