Description
Funded by the Provost’s Office, the University of Calgary Teaching and Learning Grants support initiatives that integrate teaching, learning and research to enhance student learning experiences. The program advances the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and builds educational leadership capacity among educators and staff. Its guiding principles emphasize evidence-informed teaching, new knowledge relevant to UCalgary, and sharing findings within the university and the broader post-secondary community.
Applicants select one of five focus areas: digital transformation; program innovation; signature learning experiences; an inclusive, caring and sustainable UCalgary culture; or institutional commitments to ii’ taa’poh’to’p. Supported work includes online and blended learning, ethical and creative AI use, open education, curriculum innovation, experiential and undergraduate research opportunities, accessibility and well-being, and Indigenous land-based learning, curriculum renewal and community-engaged partnerships. Projects may extend beyond classroom settings.
