    Description

The Teaching Green Fellowship recognizes innovation and creativity in developing new or significantly updated chemistry curricular materials incorporating green chemistry and sustainability. Administered by the ACS Green Chemistry Institute (ACS GCI) and sponsored by the ACS Campaign for a Sustainable Future, it supports summer curriculum development by faculty working with student researchers in the laboratory or classroom.

The fellowship focuses on undergraduate chemistry education, including lecture courses, laboratory classes, and nontraditional instruction. It gives preference to general and organic chemistry materials, while considering innovations across undergraduate courses. Its goal is to prepare students for careers addressing global challenges, including those reflected in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Awardees present their work at the Green Chemistry and Engineering (GC&E) Conference and share outcomes for broader use by other instructors and institutions.
