Description
This Fulbright teaching/research award supports one mid-career or senior academic at the Center for East European Studies, University of Warsaw. It combines a research project of the scholar’s choosing with teaching and student mentoring. Each semester, the scholar teaches one regular course for BA/MA Eastern Studies students, delivers one university-wide lecture, and holds student consultations. Collaborative research with Center scholars and participation in its conferences and academic events are encouraged.
Interests include international relations, geopolitics, conflict studies, deterrence, peacebuilding, transnational cooperation, and post-communist countries’ relations with the United States. The Center also welcomes work on law, public policy, governance, digital transformation, human rights, global security, international business, and artificial intelligence. Innovative instruction and interdisciplinary curricula bridging social sciences, humanities, and technology support Fulbright’s goal of international understanding and cooperation.
