Description
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) provides Technical Assistance Grants to help nonprofit community groups understand environmental conditions and remediation at contaminated sites in their communities. Most grant funds must pay for an independent Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) to serve as a technical advisor, interpreting and commenting on site-related documents.
Funding is available during the remedial investigation and remedial action phases of cleanup. The program is supported by the Remediation Guarantee Fund and administered through NJDEP’s Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment program.
