Description
The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) provides Technical Assistance grants for work needed to carry out restoration and acquisition projects, or develop programs leading to those projects. The program supports protection and restoration of fish and wildlife habitat and natural watershed functions that improve water quality or stream flow. Its broader purpose includes resource assessment and planning, technical design and engineering, and organizational technical assistance.
The current offering has two project types: Technical Design and Engineering, and Resource Assessment and Planning. Both connect technical preparation to subsequent action within a specified timeframe. Design and engineering work must lead directly to site-specific restoration or acquisition projects. Assessment and planning must connect information about existing water quality or habitat conditions and processes to actions that achieve desired future conditions.
