Description
This program, administered by the Innovation Institute at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, funds capital projects that introduce new technology, business, talent, capital, or other ecosystem support initiatives in Massachusetts. The goal is to enhance the state's technology and innovation ecosystem, driving job growth, business expansion, new business formation, and other indicators of innovation economy growth such as increased exports, improved labor pools, and higher wages. Projects should target a competitive advantage for existing or emerging industry clusters and may focus on a single sector or the intersection of multiple priority sectors.
Eligible projects include, but are not limited to, shared training or technology development platforms, business accelerator programs, startup studios, technology demonstration projects, workforce skills initiatives, and new R&D or infrastructure facilities. The program places emphasis on creative, collaborative proposals that align business networks, engage public and private institutions, and leverage underutilized assets to grow Massachusetts' innovation economy.
