Description
The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) administers this Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) continuation program with funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program sustains human trafficking services that promote family stability, economic self-sufficiency, and child well-being in Georgia, reducing barriers to independence and supporting safety, stability, and employment readiness.
Supported work includes specialized advocacy for commercially sexually exploited children (CSEC), social work, and services for non-custodial youth. The program also supports CSEC/domestic minor sex trafficking training, research and evaluation, and coordination of the Georgia Statewide Task Force. Victim-service outcomes emphasize access to safety planning, strategies to enhance safety, and increased knowledge of community resources. CJCC provides fiscal and programmatic oversight.
