Description
The South Carolina Arts Commission’s Term Arts Education Project Grants support quality arts education for preschool (3K–4K) and K–12 students during the academic year, including beyond the school day. The program supports traditional arts providers and organizations using the arts to meet students’ educational, developmental, and social needs. Projects must expand access and complement, augment, or advance standards-based arts instruction or arts integration aligned with school curriculum.
Supported disciplines include visual, performing, media, and design arts, folk and traditional arts, and creative writing. Activities can include workshops, artist residencies, performances, exhibitions, non-summer camps, and professional learning. Projects must address South Carolina’s 2026 visual and performing arts proficiency standards; preschool programming must also address the Profile of the Ready Kindergartener. Summer programming is excluded.
