Description
The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) Wildlife Research Program partners with researchers to investigate questions identified by its Wildlife Division. Funding comes from the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act (Pittman-Robertson) program, which supports the restoration, conservation, management and enhancement of wild birds and mammals and their habitats.
The published solicitation prioritizes three topics, in funding order: mountain lion distribution and demographics in Val Verde County, an integrated population model for Texas pronghorn, and the ecological effects of Pastures for Upland Birds restoration.
