Description
The Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund (TSIF) is administered by the Texas Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Tourism through the Texas CHIPS Office. Established under the Texas CHIPS Act in 2023, it provides grants and matching funds intended to sustain Texas’s leadership in semiconductor research, design and manufacturing.
The fund supports semiconductor projects by state entities, institutions of higher education and businesses. State-entity projects may include research and development, while business grants aim to encourage economic development connected to semiconductor manufacturing and design. Projects must align with the purposes of the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Consortium.
