Description
This Horizon Europe Innovation Action (IA) call aims to accelerate the adoption and scale-up of innovative renewable textile fibres and sustainable chemical solutions in large-scale textile applications. The focus is on overcoming cost and quality disadvantages compared to conventional fossil-based materials, by advancing processing technologies for recycled, regenerated, and bio-based fibres, as well as sustainable chemicals at all stages of textile manufacturing.
Proposals should integrate business models and system approaches to enable equitable cost and risk sharing across the textile value chain, with attention to recyclability, resource efficiency, and reduced environmental footprint. Active involvement of a wide range of stakeholders—including suppliers, brands, end users, and end-of-life managers—is encouraged to ensure commercial scalability and integration of sustainable solutions.
Projects are expected to address technical challenges, quality assurance, biodiversity outcomes, and the development of best practices and training materials for all actors in the textile sector.
