Description
The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) Community Equity Grants support organizations implementing solutions to systemic injustice and strengthening the voices of historically marginalized groups. The fund addresses historical and ongoing discrimination that creates barriers to thriving communities and inequitable access to services and resources.
Funding priorities include community leadership and development, resource inequities such as basic needs and wealth disparity, racial and cultural education, and remedying systemic injustice. These priorities are not exhaustive. The program emphasizes culturally responsive, equitable, inclusive, and effective initiatives grounded in underserved communities’ lived experiences, historical context, and systemic dynamics. Its understanding of culture includes characteristics shaped by race, ancestry, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, and age.
