Description
TGM Planning Grants are part of Oregon’s Transportation and Growth Management Program, a partnership between the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD). The program helps local jurisdictions connect transportation and land use decisions to create livable, sustainable, economically vital communities with more opportunities to walk, bicycle, and take transit.
Grants support two kinds of planning: transportation system work, including plans, updates, refinements, and transit plans; and integrated land use and transportation work, including downtown, corridor, and urban growth boundary concept plans. Projects must lead to an adoption-ready local policy decision. The program aims to expand transportation choices, support vibrant communities and economic vitality, save costs through connected development, and promote environmental stewardship.
