Thanks To Scandinavia (TTS) supports graduate study in the United States through scholarships honoring the Scandinavian and Bulgarian people who protected their Jewish neighbors during World War II. Founded in 1963 by Danish entertainer Victor Borge and American lawyer Richard Netter, the organization supports students and researchers from Scandinavia and Bulgaria, encouraging recipients to use their education to create positive change.
Through Fulbright Denmark’s nomination process, three scholarships are awarded annually to Danish graduate students: two for master’s degrees and one Victor Borge Music Scholarship for study in an academic field related to music. The awards support tuition and tuition-related expenses for one year. The current opportunity covers academic year 2027/2028, including Fall 2027 and/or Spring 2028.
