The Arts Mentorship Program pairs Minnesota students in grades 8–12 with professional artists for 15 hours of personalized mentorship across any arts discipline.

Funding Amounts: Up to 20 awards of $700 each for student mentorships; $75 additional reimbursement for materials/supplies.
Summary: Connects students in grades 8–12 in Minnesota’s LRAC region with professional artists for one-on-one mentorship in any arts discipline.
Key Information: For students residing in the LRAC nine-county region only; participation in showcase is mandatory.
Description
The Arts Mentorship Program pairs students in grades 8–12 who live in the Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC) nine-county region with professional artist mentors for personalized, one-on-one instruction. The program supports artistic growth, skill development, and personal enrichment across all artistic disciplines—including visual arts, dance, creative writing, drama, music, design, and media arts. Each mentorship provides 15 hours of individualized study or participation in an arts workshop, residency, or camp in Minnesota. The program aims to foster creativity, expand access to resources, and nurture young artists' potential, regardless of their previous formal training.
