Description
The Arts Mentorship Program, administered by Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC), helps students enhance their artistic creativity and skills while promoting personal growth. It supplements arts education by supporting one-on-one study with professional artists or participation in workshops, residencies, and summer arts camps in Minnesota. The program also employs qualified area artists as mentors.
All artistic disciplines are welcome, including visual arts, dance, creative writing, theater, music, design, media arts, and architecture. Selection emphasizes commitment, potential for artistic development, and equitable access—not simply prior training. Students with little or no formal arts education are encouraged to apply alongside those with extensive experience.
