Description
The Brain Prize is an annual personal research prize awarded by the Lundbeck Foundation to scientists whose work has made outstanding contributions to neuroscience from an international perspective. It recognizes achievements across all aspects of the brain and nervous system in health and disease, ranging from molecular and cellular research to behavioural, cognitive, and clinical studies. The prize can recognize an individual achievement or significant contributions made by several researchers.
The program celebrates transformative science, raises public awareness of neuroscience, and inspires future generations of researchers. It also aims to stimulate Danish brain research through greater interaction with international researchers. An independent selection committee of leading neuroscientists assesses the originality, influence, and significance of nominated achievements.
