Administered by the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Jonathan L. Sessler Fellowship recognizes emerging leaders in bioinorganic and medicinal inorganic chemistry. It honors research achievements as an independent investigator and supports recipients in presenting their work at an ACS Meeting. Recipients are recognized as Jonathan L. Sessler Fellows and receive an honorarium, an engraved plaque, and meeting-related support.
The fellowship serves early-career investigators holding tenure-track positions or equivalent research appointments at qualifying U.S. institutions. It is sponsored by the Jonathan L. Sessler Endowed Fund for Emerging Leaders in Bioinorganic and Medicinal Inorganic Chemistry, established in 2020 to recognize early-career researchers in these communities.
