--- ## Description The fellowship honors emerging leaders in the fields of bioinorganic and medicinal inorganic chemistry. Recipients receive an honorarium, an engraved plaque, and support for registration, travel, and housing to attend the American Chemical Society (ACS) Meeting where they present their research. The program is designed to encourage and recognize early-career researchers making significant contributions to these specialized areas. --- ## Due Dates - January 2027 (nomination/submission deadline, anticipated/projected) *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - The fellowship provides a variable honorarium. - Includes an engraved plaque. - Covers registration, travel, and housing expenses for the ACS Meeting at which the recipient presents their research. --- ## Eligibility - Open to investigators in their first five years of a tenure-track position (with accommodations for family, health, or provider leaves), or an equivalent research appointment at a U.S. academic institution, national lab, or nonprofit. - Nominees must be early-career researchers in bioinorganic or medicinal inorganic chemistry. - Selection is through a nomination process; self-nominations are not accepted. --- ## Application Process - Nominations must be submitted by a third party (no self-nominations). - Required nomination materials (as a single PDF file): - Nominee’s name, current affiliation, and contact information - Date of initial employment in current tenure-track or equivalent position - Explanation of any career leave (if applicable) - List of no more than 10 key publications - Curriculum vitae - Summary of research achievements and justification for nomination (max 3 pages, minimum 11-point font, 1-inch margins) - Name, affiliation, and contact details of the nominator - Email the PDF to [sessler@acs.org](mailto:sessler@acs.org) with "Sessler Fellowship Nomination" in the subject line. --- ## Additional Information - The fellowship is supported by the Jonathan L.
