Description
The Amplify activity grants, part of the Theo Murphy Initiative (Australia) and administered by the Australian Academy of Science, are designed to enhance the experience and professional development of Australia’s early- and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) in STEM. These grants fund new, EMCR-led activities that are delivered as add-ons to existing STEM conferences or symposiums. Eligible activities include workshops, training sessions, networking events, or mentoring opportunities, all intended to provide tangible, additional benefits for EMCRs beyond what is already offered by the host event. The initiative encourages EMCRs to lead and coordinate these activities, fostering leadership skills and strengthening the impact of the host event for the next generation of researchers.
