Description
The Australian Academy of Science’s Amplify grants support new activities delivered as part of, or alongside, an existing STEM conference or symposium. Funded through the Theo Murphy Initiative (Australia), the program supports workshops, training, networking, mentoring, professional development and similar activities that create tangible benefits for Australian early- and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) beyond the host event’s existing program.
The program welcomes all STEM fields and prioritises high-merit, high-impact activities that benefit EMCRs and the broader Australian STEM community. It considers innovative design, knowledge sharing, alignment with the host event, and diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. EMCR-led organising committees also gain coordination and delivery experience. Amplify does not fund standalone events or the core delivery of the host conference or symposium.
