Description
The American Psychological Foundation’s Theodore Millon Grant in Personality Psychology supports research advancing the science of personality psychology. Its scope includes personality theory, personality disorders, and personality assessment. Preference is given to work improving the study, development, and delivery of personality assessment, as represented by the work of Theodore Millon, PhD.
The program supports graduate students and psychologists, with applications evaluated for impact and innovation, methodology, and alignment with program goals. Past funded work includes research on social cognition in the Alternative DSM-5 Model for Personality Disorders, interpersonal motives and borderline personality pathology, rejection sensitivity, and personality dimensions in treatment.
