Description
The fellowship supports advanced research by doctoral candidates (ABD) and recent Ph.D. recipients (degree awarded within the past several years) on the language or historical texts of ancient Egypt, including the Coptic language. The award is intended to facilitate research that requires direct consultation of sources in Egypt and to foster scholarship that advances understanding of Egypt’s linguistic and textual heritage. Recipients are required to present their research findings to the New York ARCE Chapter after the fellowship period.
