Description
The Thomas H. Carpenter and Lynne C. Lancaster Traveling Fellowships, offered by the Archaeological Institute of America, provide substantial support for graduate students and recent PhDs to conduct archaeological research requiring extended travel abroad. The fellowship is designed to address the growing need for travel funding due to reductions in external and university-based resources. Projects must focus on regions within the historical boundaries of the Roman Empire, covering periods from approximately 1000 BCE to 1000 CE. Eligible expenses include transportation, lodging, visas, entrance fees, and travel-related insurance.
