Description
The American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery Foundation (AAO-HNSF), in collaboration with Snot Force Alliance, Inc. (SFA), supports research using the Reg-ent clinical data registry to examine unified airway conditions. The program focuses on relationships and practice care patterns across inflammatory, immunologic, and allergic diseases spanning the upper sinus/rhinitis tract and lower airway/pulmonary tract.
Projects may address chronic rhinitis, chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, and asthma, including associated conditions such as eosinophilic esophagitis, eczema, immunodeficiency, vasculitis, and autoimmune disorders. Recipients receive registry access and work directly with the Reg-ent team to extract data and refine project design. The program seeks useful, non-basic science findings within the award period, prioritizing innovative projects with potential to become long-range or expanded research programs.
