Description
This fellowship provides thoracic surgeons (residents, fellows, or new faculty) with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in clinical trial design, protocol development, and clinical research within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically at AstraZeneca facilities in the US. The program emphasizes developing skills in clinical research, understanding predictors of therapy response, designing optimal trials, and integrating surgical expertise into multidisciplinary cancer management. Fellows will spend 9–12 months on-site, working on research projects, with opportunities for publication and presentation of their work.
