This fellowship is designed to immerse thoracic surgeons in the fundamentals of clinical research, focusing on clinical trial design, protocol development, endpoint selection, and data interpretation within thoracic oncology. Fellows participate in a 12-month, hands-on program at an industry partner site (currently AstraZeneca), gaining direct experience in clinical trial execution and late-stage clinical development from a medical affairs perspective. Fellows also have opportunities for publication and presentation of research findings and are supported to attend key thoracic surgery meetings.
