This fellowship offers early-career North American general thoracic surgeons the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive, faculty-led Clinical Skills Course at Intuitive Surgical’s Atlanta facility. The program is designed to enhance proficiency in robotic thoracic surgery (using the da Vinci Surgical System) and includes structured pre-course requirements, a one-day in-person course, post-course clinical benchmarks, and ongoing mentorship. Awardees receive focused didactic and procedural training, simulator drills, and case-based discussions. Upon successful completion, fellows are awarded a certificate from the AATS Foundation and Intuitive Surgical.
