Description
Run by RI Humanities with funding from the State of Rhode Island, THRIVE provides general operating support to small organizations preserving and promoting the histories, heritage, cultural practices, and traditions of particular peoples or places. The program aims to strengthen organizations that serve Rhode Island’s communities, rather than fund a single project.
Support can cover staffing, rent and utilities, program materials, communications, technology, website and database upkeep, consultant fees, minor facility improvements, and physical or digital accessibility improvements. RI Humanities developed the program in response to continuing needs identified through its pandemic-era grantmaking.
