Description
CalRecycle’s Tire Incentive Program seeks to expand commercial demand for higher-value tire-derived products. It provides financial incentives to eligible manufacturers so they can price and market these products more competitively, increasing sales and market share.
The program covers new and existing tire-derived products, products that replace virgin materials with crumb rubber or devulcanized crumb rubber, and products using fine-mesh crumb rubber. Eligible intermediate products include compounded rubber, calendered rubber sheet, and devulcanized crumb rubber. Potential uses range from flooring and building products to traffic devices, coatings, and certain asphalt products.
