Description
The Title II Formula Grant funds programs supporting the core requirements of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act. Authorized by the federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, it is administered in Arizona by the Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF). GOYFF works with the Arizona Juvenile Justice Commission (AJJC) to fund local programs addressing challenges faced by youth, families, and juvenile justice professionals.
Funded work includes prevention and educational programming. GOYFF also monitors funded programs’ implementation and progress. The grant is part of Arizona’s broader juvenile justice work, which includes compliance monitoring and efforts to address racial and ethnic disparities. AJJC and GOYFF set the program purpose areas for each solicitation based on state priorities.
