Description
Title IV, Part A: Student Support and Academic Enrichment provides formula grants administered by the Illinois State Board of Education’s Title Grant Administration Department. The program aims to improve students’ academic achievement by strengthening the capacity of states, local education agencies (LEAs), schools, and local communities. It supports three priorities: access to a well-rounded education, improved school conditions for learning, and effective technology use to advance academic achievement and digital literacy for all students.
Supported work includes well-rounded educational opportunities, activities promoting safe and healthy students, and technology-based improvements to learning. Alongside district grants, funding supports State Education Agency activities. ISBE provides technical assistance for implementation aligned with the Every Student Succeeds Act and U.S. Department of Education guidance, including assistance with nonpublic school participation.
