Description
This grant program funds the establishment or expansion of community learning centers that provide safe, academically enriching environments for Iowa students during out-of-school hours (before/after school, weekends, summers). The initiative targets students from high-poverty, low-performing schools, aiming to improve academic achievement, social-emotional development, and family engagement. Funded activities may include tutoring, STEM and literacy programs, arts, wellness, leadership, mentoring, and more. Programs must partner with local schools and community organizations to ensure comprehensive support and sustainability.
