Description
The Title X Cost-Share Program helps landowners implement best management practices that reduce pollution carried by rainfall or snowmelt into rivers, lakes, wetlands, and underground drinking water sources. Funding is available through participating County Conservation Districts. The program is part of Arkansas’s Nonpoint Source Pollution Management Program, overseen by the Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Division in cooperation with local, state, and federal partners.
Supported practices include cover crops, nutrient management, prescribed grazing, riparian forest buffers, tree or shrub establishment, irrigation and livestock pipelines, and wetland creation or enhancement. Projects must reduce nonpoint source pollution and meet Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) specifications.
