Key Information: Requires 75% non-federal cost share; only state, tribal, local, and certain utility entities in specified states/territories are eligible.
This opportunity, offered by the Bureau of Reclamation through its WaterSMART program, funds the planning, design, and/or construction of water reclamation and reuse projects. The goal is to help eligible western states and territories develop new, reliable, and drought-resistant water supplies by supporting projects that treat and reuse municipal, industrial, and agricultural wastewater or impaired surface/groundwater. Projects must address water supply challenges, improve water management flexibility, and enhance long-term water reliability for urban and irrigation use.
