The TMS International Symposium on Superalloys Scholarship supports PhD students in metallurgical and/or materials science and engineering whose studies emphasize superalloys. Its scope includes alloy development, processing, mechanical behavior, coatings, and environmental effects, including classical topics in superalloy processing and properties. Studies may also address technologies that improve superalloy manufacturability, affordability, life prediction, and performance.
The scholarship is funded by the TMS Foundation through the generosity of the TMS International Symposium on Superalloys Committee. In addition to supporting students’ education and research, it provides conference travel reimbursement and complimentary student registration to help recipients participate in the professional superalloys community.
