Description
This Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action (CSA) funds the development and integration of next-generation frontier Artificial Intelligence (AI) models for healthcare, with a view toward Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). The action is designed to foster multidisciplinary collaboration among healthcare professionals, patients, biomedical scientists, AI developers, data engineers, and ethics experts, building a diverse, pan-European community. Key activities include:
- Building a large-scale, multidisciplinary community focused on advancing AI for healthcare.
- Creating a comprehensive roadmap for developing frontier AI models, including risk and regulatory assessments.
- Identifying, curating, and expanding datasets relevant for advanced AI in healthcare, ensuring interoperability and privacy-preserving use.
- Mapping approaches for training and evaluating advanced AI models, with attention to ethical, regulatory, and security considerations.
The initiative leverages existing EU-funded projects, AI Factories, and federated data infrastructures, and aligns with the European Health Data Space and AI Act. The ultimate aim is to pave the way for safe, efficient, and impactful AI-powered healthcare solutions across Europe.
