Description
The Toyota Foundation’s International Grant Program supports people working on shared issues in East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. It funds teams that examine conditions in participating countries, exchange practical knowledge, carry out activities aimed at solutions, and produce tangible outputs for wider use. Projects may address emerging as well as current social issues.
The program emphasizes four elements: transnational cooperation, collaboration across sectors, mutual learning, and foresight. Participants are expected to work together on an equal footing rather than follow a one-way model of instruction or support. The Foundation seeks partnerships that develop new perspectives and can contribute to social change beyond the immediate project.
