Description
The Foundation of the American Society of Neuroradiology administers this program to boost trainee engagement in neuroradiology research and build a pipeline of future academic investigators. Offering multiple grants spreads research resources across institutions and allows trainees to work with mentors outside their home institution.
The grants supplement departmental support for hypothesis-driven research with well-developed specific aims. Funding supports practical project needs such as biostatistics, software, cloud computing services, physical laboratory support, scanner time, and relevant conferences or training courses. Projects must have an appropriate research environment and a mentor responsible for guiding the work through completion. Involvement of experts outside radiology or the medical school is viewed favorably.
