Description
The Nestlé Foundation’s Training Grant supports small research projects undertaken by young investigators, including MSc and PhD thesis projects and other training endeavors. It is part of a research program focused on maternal, child, and adolescent nutrition in low- and middle-income countries. The Foundation aims to generate evidence that improves nutrition and health while strengthening local scientific capacity.
Projects should have clear public-health relevance, practical potential for sustainable improvement, and a meaningful training or mentorship component. Priority topics include nutrient deficiencies, breastfeeding and complementary feeding, nutrition education, infection–nutrition interactions, and local food-based interventions. The Foundation particularly values research led by investigators based in low- and middle-income countries.
