Description
The Trans-Atlantic Platform (T-AP), coordinated by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and international partners, funds collaborative research projects that address pressing social sciences and humanities (SSH) issues from a transnational perspective. The 2026 call, "Preparing for Tomorrow: Societies and Strategies in Times of Transition," seeks to support projects that enhance society’s capacity to anticipate, understand, and respond to future challenges—such as climate change, technological transformation, and social or political disruption—through innovative, interdisciplinary, and international research partnerships.
Projects are expected to advance conceptual, empirical, or normative understanding of how societies envision and prepare for uncertain futures, and to inform policy and practice at various levels. The program encourages proposals that engage with policymakers, communities, and other stakeholders, and that promote diversity and the involvement of early career researchers.
