Description
Transforming Education in Plant Biology (TEPB), administered by the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB), provides financial support for focused, substantive, and practical professional development aimed at creating undergraduate plant biology instructional materials. The program connects professional learning with the development of teaching resources and forms part of ASPB’s education and outreach funding opportunities.
Materials should align with the recommendations of Vision and Change and ASPB’s core concepts in plant biology. Applicants may select suggested multi-day professional development sessions or propose another program that fits those recommendations. Previously supported work includes introductory biology case studies, ecology materials linking photosynthesis and climate, and an undergraduate biochemistry laboratory course built around authentic plant research.
