Description
The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) offers these competitive grants through the Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP). The program helps public institutions turn federal work-study (FWS) positions and other on-campus student jobs into internships or more internship-like experiences, expanding students’ access to career-relevant work while maintaining federal requirements for FWS positions.
Institutions may seek support for implementation planning, a pilot, or scaling, depending on their progress; they do not have to begin with planning. A V-TOP toolkit provides questions, guidance and case studies for institutions with different organizational structures.
