The Transition to Independence Grants, administered by KidneyCure (the ASN Foundation) and supported by Satellite Healthcare and partners, are designed to help promising early-career faculty in nephrology transition from mentored training to independent research. The program aims to position recipients to become competitive for NIH R01 or equivalent major research funding by the end of the grant period. Grants are open to applicants working on any aspect of kidney biology or disease, including both clinical and basic science.
