Description
The Translational Diagnostics: Advanced Training Elective provides pathology residents and fellows with a unique, four-week immersive experience at Ventana Medical Systems' headquarters in Tucson, Arizona. The program is designed to give participants hands-on exposure to the development of novel histopathology-based diagnostic assays, including research and development innovation, digital pathology, whole slide imaging, instrumentation development, and tissue sample management. The elective is tailored to the recipient’s interests and includes direct mentorship from Dr. Shalini Singh, Sr. Director of Pathology. The goal is to deepen participants’ understanding of the scientific, clinical, and industrial processes that drive advances in diagnostic pathology and to foster future leaders in the field.
