Summary: Four-week immersive training for pathology residents in novel histopathology-based diagnostic assay development at Ventana Medical Systems.
This grant supports a four-week advanced training elective at Ventana Medical Systems' Tucson headquarters, offering pathology residents hands-on experience in the development and validation of novel histopathology-based diagnostic assays. Under the mentorship of a senior director of pathology, awardees tailor their experience to focus on areas such as R&D innovation, digital pathology, clinical and scientific affairs, platform/instrumentation development, and tissue sample management. The program aims to deepen participants' understanding of translational diagnostics, expose them to industry roles for pathologists, and foster skills in the latest diagnostic assay technologies.
