Description

The PhRMA Foundation’s Translational Medicine Postdoctoral Fellowship supports multidisciplinary, collaborative research training at accredited U.S. universities. The program connects laboratory discoveries with clinical practice to improve disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, while bringing lessons from the clinic back to the laboratory. It prioritizes unmet clinical needs and new diagnostic, therapeutic, and computational approaches that improve patient care.

Research may address innovative diagnostics and therapies in human-relevant models, precision medicine, clinical endpoint validation, or experimental and computational methods that reduce animal testing. Other areas include biologically validated modeling and simulation, translational pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and target or biomarker validation using human data or human-derived systems. Proposals must connect a therapeutically relevant hypothesis with clinical needs and appropriate human-relevant validation.
