The Translational Pump Priming Awards provide targeted, short-term funding for researchers aiming to answer a specific, pivotal question to advance an innovation along the translational pathway. The awards are designed to help bridge evidence gaps, validate data, or demonstrate feasibility, thereby enabling researchers to make future applications for larger translational research grants more competitive. Supported activities include pre-clinical and clinical development of therapeutics, devices, diagnostics, imaging technologies, digital solutions, regenerative medicine, surgical techniques, and early-phase clinical studies. The awards are not intended for exploratory or incremental research, but rather for projects that will generate clear proof-of-concept data.
