Description
The Transportation Alternatives (TA) program, administered by the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT), provides funding for projects that expand transportation options beyond traditional vehicle use. The program focuses on improving infrastructure for pedestrians, bicyclists, and non-drivers, including Safe Routes to School, community enhancement activities, and environmental mitigation efforts. Eligible projects include trail construction, sidewalk improvements, streetscape and corridor landscaping, historic transportation facility preservation, and environmental initiatives related to transportation.
