Texas Woman’s University’s Travel Assistance Fund helps faculty offset costs associated with presenting scholarly outcomes at professional conferences and meetings. It supports major presentations that have been peer-reviewed, juried, or selected by major associations or societies in the faculty member’s field. Faculty may also request support to attend meetings where they will receive a major award from those organizations, or for registration to present at a virtual conference.
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) administers the fund, with support from University funds and the TWU Foundation. Funds are allocated across fall, spring, and summer to support presentations throughout the year. The program connects faculty scholarship and creative activity with professional audiences and supports occasions when disciplinary organizations recognize faculty achievements.
