Description
The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) offers Clinical Virology Travel Awards to help students, postdoctoral fellows and technologists specializing in clinical virology attend ASM Microbe and present their research. The awards defray meeting costs rather than fund research itself, and applicants may need additional support from sources outside ASM.
The program includes six named awards honoring scientists whose contributions shaped clinical virology through research, diagnostic methods, laboratory training, mentorship and scientific meeting leadership. Selection is based on the scientific quality of submitted abstracts. For ASM Microbe 2027, award recipients’ abstracts are automatically accepted for presentation and receive priority consideration for an oral presentation slot.
