The Travel Award for Hall Scholars, also known as the Dr. Martica Hall Travel Award Scholarships, is offered by the Society for Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine (SBSM). It recognizes outstanding sleep medicine research abstracts presented at the Society’s Annual Meeting and supports recipients’ attendance through complimentary accommodation at the host hotel.
The program is intended for undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, medical students, and resident physicians whose research addresses sleep medicine. Two awards go to the top-scoring abstracts in this area, with selection based primarily on outstanding research or research potential. Rather than funding a separate research project, the scholarships connect recognition of research presented at the Annual Meeting with support for attending it.
