Description
The Travel Awards program, offered by the Mississippi NSF EPSCoR through the Mississippi Research Alliance (MRA), provides funding to support travel that enables participation in jurisdictional meetings, conferences, workshops, and professional training opportunities. The initiative is designed to bolster the research capacity of Mississippi by facilitating researcher engagement in key meetings and development events, thereby advancing the state’s position in science and technology.
Eligible travel includes:
- Participation in statewide, regional, or national scientific conferences and meetings
- Attendance at instrumentation training workshops, especially at MRA-affiliated facilities
- Faculty travel for training at national laboratories, elite institutions, or industry collaborators
- Training on new research acquisitions that enrich Mississippi’s expertise
