Description
The Associated Students of UAF (ASUAF) administers travel and academic enrichment grants for UAF students. The program supports travel that benefits the UAF student body academically, culturally, socially, politically, or athletically. Its scope extends beyond academic enrichment to recognize several ways travel can contribute to student life.
Benefit to the UAF student body is central to funding decisions, and the amount awarded is based on that benefit. Funding is limited and covers only transportation and lodging. The ASUAF Finance Committee also considers the applicant’s financial history with ASUAF, while applicants seeking substantial support should make reasonable efforts to secure funding elsewhere.
